The 5 Basics to Get Started
1. Create your teacher account. Sign up in just two steps, with a username and password or with Single Sign-On (Google, Microsoft, Clever, or ClassLink). 👉 How to Create a Teacher Account
2. Create a class. Set up your first classroom so you have somewhere to add students and assign work. 👉 Creating Classrooms
3. Add your students. Choose the option that fits your students best: a unique username and password, SSO, or joining an existing account with a class code. 👉Adding Students and Creating Student Accounts
4. Have students take the pretest. Every student takes a short, adaptive pretest the first time they log in. This sets their starting reading level and unlocks personalized practice.

5. Track student data in Progress Reports. Once students have completed the pretest and one additional quiz, their data will start showing up in your reports. 👉 How to View Student Progress
🌟 That's it! Students work independently from their own accounts, while teachers track data from the Progress Reports dashboard.
ReadTheory is a fully adaptive platform: when students first log in, they take a short pretest, and based on their performance, the system automatically adjusts the difficulty of future quizzes. There's no need to assign anything manually.
